Add examples of your brand voice
Examples are passages that sound like you, which Erlin reads before it writes so drafts come out in your voice.
Voice examples show Erlin what good writing sounds like for your business. Choose passages that demonstrate a useful style, not simply the most recent content you published.
Open Brand > Examples to review and add them.
Choose examples with a clear purpose
A service explanation can show clarity. An email can show warmth. A product comparison can show how to describe tradeoffs. Use examples that match the tasks you want Erlin to write.
Avoid including a passage solely because it performed well if its style is no longer appropriate. Remove obsolete prices or claims before using a passage as a reusable reference.
Add the passage
Choose the add action to open Add a voice example. Under Add from, select Paste text (up to 5,000 characters), A page (enter a Page address; if Erlin cannot read it, paste the passage instead) or An article (pick an article Erlin wrote for you).
Review the passage being added. A page can contain navigation, offers and unrelated sections that do not demonstrate the voice you want.
Explain the pattern you want repeated
Pair examples with Tone & Voice and Writing rules. If the example uses short explanations and concrete verbs, state that preference in the guidance.
A passage should illustrate how to communicate, not authorize copying its unsupported claims into a different context.
Review examples as the brand changes
Return to Voice examples when the positioning or audience changes. Remove references that no longer fit and check a fresh draft against the remaining examples.
How many to add
The table shows how many you have, for example "6 of 20 suggested". Twenty is the number Erlin recommends and 100 is the most it keeps. At 100, Add example turns off until you remove one. Open a row menu and select Remove example to stop Erlin reading it.
