Frequently asked questions

Where do I connect an integration?

In the Erlin app, under Settings > Integrations. Google Analytics and Search Console connect by signing in with Google, Slack by authorizing Erlin in your workspace, and WordPress with your site URL and credentials. The MCP server connects from Claude.

Can Erlin change anything in my Google accounts?

No. Access to Google Analytics 4 and Google Search Console is read-only, and scoped to the properties you select. Each brand in Erlin can use its own property.

Which version of Google Analytics do I need?

Google Analytics 4. Universal Analytics, the older version, is not supported. For Search Console you need a verified property for the domain you track in Erlin.

Will Erlin publish to my site without asking?

No. An article goes to your site only when you click Publish, and on WordPress you choose whether it lands as a draft or goes live. WordPress and Webflow are live today; Framer, Shopify, Wix, Squarespace, Contentful and Ghost are coming soon.

What does Claude get access to?

Your visibility checks, dashboard metrics, tracked prompts, competitors, Search Console and Analytics data, and content recommendations. The MCP server fetches what Claude asks for and does not store your data itself.

What happens if I disconnect?

Erlin stops using that connection. Disconnecting Google removes the stored credentials, and the Google data in Erlin clears until you reconnect. Disconnecting Slack stops new posts and deletes nothing from your Slack history. Disconnecting WordPress leaves your published articles where they are.
