Review Reddit citations and discussions
The Reddit view of Citations lists the reddit.com threads AI answers cite for your tracked prompts, and whether each one names you.
Review Reddit sources to understand the questions and experiences that appear in collected AI answers. A cited thread can reveal useful buyer language, misconceptions or comparisons that your own content does not address.
1. Find relevant discussions
Open Citations and choose Reddit under Source. Narrow the list with Platforms or Mentions you when you have a specific investigation in mind.
Open a thread that relates to the service or product you offer. Read the original question and relevant replies, not just the source title.
2. Separate evidence from interpretation
Check what the thread actually says. One person's experience is not a verified statement about every customer, and a mention of a similar brand may not refer to yours.
Use the cited prompt to understand why the discussion matters. A thread about choosing a provider may reveal selection criteria; a complaint may identify a specific service issue that needs investigation.
3. Decide whether to respond or improve your own content
Respond only when you can add something useful and the community permits it. Be clear about your connection to the business. Do not treat a citation opportunity as a reason to post a promotional link into an unrelated conversation.
You can also use the question to improve your own FAQ, service page or comparison guide. Answer the underlying need with information you can support.
4. Review later answers
After making a change, compare later collected answers and their sources. A response in a thread does not guarantee a new citation or a brand recommendation.
Keep the original URL and the question you investigated with your work notes. Continue with citation review or new content.
