> Citations lists every page AI answers cite for your tracked prompts, whether each one names you, and which ones are worth winning first.

**Citations** shows the sources found in collected AI answers. Use it to understand which pages support an answer and where your business is represented accurately, missing or described incorrectly.

A citation is a reference to a source. It does not prove that a visitor clicked the page or that the source caused a recommendation.

## 1. Narrow the source list

Open **Citations** from **AI Visibility**. Use **Source** to select **All**, **Websites**, **Reddit** or **YouTube**. Use **Platforms**, **Source type** and **Mentions you** to focus the review.

Choose **Pages** under **List by** when you need a specific URL. Choose **Domains** when you want to compare source sites.

## 2. Read the source in its answer context

Expand a row and review **Prompts that cite it** and **What it says about you**. Then open the original source. Check that it supports the statement, refers to the intended business and is current enough for the topic.

A source can be useful without naming your brand. Conversely, a source that names your brand may contain an outdated price or an inaccurate description.

## 3. Choose an appropriate response

Update a page you own when its information is wrong or incomplete. For another publisher's page, check its correction or listing process. For a community discussion, read the conversation and its rules before deciding whether a response would help.

A suggested action is a starting point, not proof of why the answer selected that source. Avoid promising a citation in exchange for an edit or a community post.
